SEPT 2017

After wrapping up a summer of civic innovation, Coding it Forward was accepted into the Harvard Innovation Lab's Venture Incubation Program.

We also welcomed two new team members: Liam and Mariam.

AUG 2017

The inaugural cohort of Civic Digital Fellows presented their innovative projects to senior government leaders at a Demo Day in Washington, D.C. Check our work on GitHub.

JUNE 2017

Our first cohort of Civic Digital Fellows started their fellowship at the U.S. Census Bureau, while our Pipeline Interns began work at the IRS and EPA. Meet our fellows and interns and read why they were excited to be working in civic tech.

MAY 2017

We became an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization — just in time to win our first grants from the Shuttleworth Foundation and the Harvard University Institute of Politics for having the "most innovative idea to reshape American civic life." 

APR 2017

Applications for the Civic Digital Fellowship officially opened on April 10th. We quickly received over 200 applications from students at 80 different colleges and universities. We also launched the Pipeline Program with the IRS and EPA.

FEB 2017

We made the leap from a mailing list to a Facebook group, helping us grow beyond the confines of Harvard and to colleges and universities across America. To date, we have over 1,000 active members in our network.

JAN 2017
